How to take and share a screen shot in Windows

A useful feature in Windows is the screenshot feature. We can also use this feature in Windows 10 to take the screenshots as well. The user can snip or capture the active or fullscreen window using the in-built Snipping Tool. Now, you will get two options – to search for drivers automatically or to browse the computer for drivers. If you don’t have the keyboard drivers on your computer, select Search automatically for drivers. The screenshot or print-screen key comes in quite handy in everyday use for gamers, technophiles, and anyone wanting to capture the contents of their screen.

Click Save at the top of the window, enter a file name and select a save location, and click Save. This will save the screenshots in one HTML file. You can open the HTML file in your computer’s Internet Explorer browser in order to view its contents. Now that you’ve finished editing the image you can Save, Copy, or Share using the buttons at the top right corner. Clicking on Save will let you choose where to save the image. Clicking on Copy will copy the image to your Clipboard and clicking on Share will let you share the image to your contacts via email or via other apps.

In Windows 10 you still have to hit “New” button when the SnippingTool.exe GUI appears. Most important of all this is that the Snipping Tool needs to be in ‘cancelled capture’ mode. Otherwise the CTRL + PrtScn shortcut won’t work as expected.
